The
technique

The ZIPP hydraulic earth drilling rigs are driven by a hydraulic drive unit based on the radial piston principle. Due to the high number of motor cycles (48 - 160 cycles/revolution), a consistently high torque is available even at the start of rotation and at low speeds.

In their size classes, they achieve unprecedented drilling performance even in difficult soil conditions. The drive is carried out directly by the hydraulic unit without a planetary gearbox (direct drive). The modular design makes it possible to separate the functions of hydraulics (generation of hydraulic torque by motor) and mechanics (absorption of mechanical load through separate, generously dimensioned bearing of the output shaft).

The replaceable drilling tool connector allows the use of a wide variety of tools. The hexagonal connection size for the original equipment is freely selectable.
